Rebuild 3: Gangs of Deadsville App Reviews

Highly addictive sequel

If you liked the predecessor at all, youll want to get this game. Its a huge upgrade, and the replay factor is huge. The prior game had no challenge left once you discovered turrets, but this version is much better balanced. The story mode is cool, with, once again, multiple possible endings (though, ditching your team for your mountain cabin doesnt appear to be one of them.) Highly recommended. Cons: not as deep as, say, Civilization, or as flashy as some similar games based on popular zombie genre TV shows. Pros: still plenty of fun challenges. I hope she (the dev) continues to make many more of these games.

Kinda cool but...

The city and it is great but the huge face on top of the buildings should be smaller or not even there....I like the older version it was neat and simple...it made me picture as if I was in a zombie atop...but this version isnt as good...the roleplaying doesnt look alright...I mean its cool and all but not for me... Here are somethings you should add/change -big face on top of buildings (it shouldnt be there , add the old version type just click on the building.. -make the things more simple like for example the thing on the top right isnt that cool the old version where you could open a fair size rectangle to tell people what to do and what to wear is way more simple Anyways the game is okey but those things I listed realy needs to be changed...

Instant Classic

This is the 4x zombie civ game you have been looking for. Much love to the developer for creating this and remaining old school with no in app purchases. May you survive and prosper in the coming zombie apocalypse. ^.^

Very solid

Solid gameplay. Difficulty is actually very reasonable for story mode, and theres a lot of depth to the content.

Very good

I am not a huge zombie game fan. I hate IAP games and few games I play to the end. This is one of those games that had me play to the end and its not a short or quick game. I this it was well worth the cost. Loved it. Wish there were more games like it out there. I refuse to get any IAP game. This game was fun.

Great game!!!

This game is really fun.

So addicting!

Found out about the series with Rebuild 2, and loved it - finally beating it on the hardest level after so many tries was quite rewarding! Love that theyve taken it to the next level here. Endlessly replayable since the levels are randomized. One suggestion for the next update or version: the other factions should be able to contact you - if you are destroying them, they should come and ask for mercy, or their scouts be able to find your fort in the beginning instead of you having to scout theres. Thanks for the great game!

AWESOME

This game is so worth every penny. But if you dont watch the tutorial youre screwed

My favorite mobile game... ever

Ive loved the rebuild games for years and always found myself returning to them, for one reason or another. Rebuild 3 more than meets my expectations and provides a perfectly innovative, immersive and varied experience that really feels genuine to the post-apocalyptic genre.

Great blend of strategy and adventure

This is one of few games that combine addictive strategy mechanics with an immersive story. Can hardly put it down.

Best to date

One of my favorite flash games got a sequel, amazing. I would recommend playing rebuild 2 on newgrounds to anyone who is unfamiliar with the series. I will admit that it is not for everyone, but it is definitely my cup of tea. It was encouraging to see that you can get this both on steam or mobile, and it definitely is not a cash grab. The IOS optimization is great, and seamless. The subtle storytelling is refreshing though allying with the other factions. I did find it unclear in the begging that you could have multiple talents for other characters and not just builders or just engineers, but eventually figured it out. It took me a while to figure out how to play (maybe adding an optional tutorial that can be played at anytime) but it has been a great experience. In the story, each area has a different challenge, and with the random generation, it should have great repeatability. A small thing that I would add (cause to my knowledge you cant mod iPhone games) is how the dating system worked, cause you could pick the survivor you wanted to date, and then you could determine how someone got married and they would have kids. But then the event stopped; I assume it is just one of the random ones but I would find it an interesting mechanic with survivor management. (Or maybe you can but I havent unlocked it yet). Any way you cut it, an overall great game that accomplishes everything t set its mind to.

Great sequel to the original.

I supported this game during its crowd funding and I am happy to have contributed! A great sequel that adds some much needed gameplay advances like rival gangs, story mode, and happiness management. A must buy! One critique I do have is that the story mode gameplay tends to get repetitive. After you have built 7-8 cities by scavenging, fortifying, and fighting, the gameplay gets a bit tired. I dont have an exact solution, but there needs to be an increase in the variety of gameplay to fix this. Despite this minor flaw, I would recommend this game for anyone that likes 4x style games. Many many hours of gameplay prove this! Cant wait to see what future updates bring!

Great Game! One suggestion

This is a worthy successor to the previous Rebuild App. I love the new interface, the new look, and the rival forts. These forts provide a new, and in my opinion, more realistic aspect to a theoretical zombie apocalypse: as time goes on, zombies become less of a threat and new human societies more so. However, humanity doesnt have to necessarily destroy itself again through war, as peace and trade are viable options. I love the new random events, societal policies, and survivor perks (though they can be hard to manage at times, but that comes with running a society like this). It kind of reminds me of Civilization now, but with zombies. Regardless I love it! The only suggestion I have is the incorporation of a map builder. It just seems like the game is asking for it, especially with its grid layout, replay ability, and set functions of each building. Players would be able to create their own towns, maybe upload them to somewhere to be accessed by all. Id buy it if it was an in app purchase or something. Just a thought. Overall I give 5/5, great game! Would be 6/5 with map builder to further replay ability and add a new aspect to the game.

Wow!

I cant agree with the other reviews more. Normally Im bored looking thru the App Store trying to find games that dont just put a face lift on an old game and constantly barrage you with IAPs. This is an original game play style game, no IAPs and super entertaining. I normally play games until i get sick of them and I will probably do that to this one, but havent gotten sick of it yet and I keep wanting to play more and more. I love survival horror and this is right there, with resource management, different character classes, zombies. I love it all! Well done! Please keep the content coming!

Cheevos

Great game, but the Game Center integration for achievements doesnt work. Ive tried everything to make them work, nothing. Great replay ability by itself, but I cant help but feel like Im not getting part of what I paid for.

It was nice the more I play this game

The more I look at it the cartoon is just magical

Hate is game is there a return app for it

I hate this game and it should be a return ability for in-app store

Just right

Like everyone else has said: this is a great game. Worth more than it costs. I played it for hours straight and look forward to playing it more.

Well worth your money!

Suggestion: As far as Im concerned, you cant highlight a character when you select their names. Its hard to find people sometimes so I think if you select their name, they would be able to locate where they are.

Compelling story

A really compelling story (although my ending was not as Id hoped), good gameplay, and no IAP or ad nonsense. Well done.
